Celebrating Our 2nd Place Win at the Solana 24h Berlin Hackathon!

We are thrilled to announce that we have secured the second place in the Solana 24h Berlin Hackathon with our innovative project, Roadslip! Competing in the DeFi track, our solution aims to transform the way users interact with USDC transactions on the Solana blockchain.

What is Roadslip?

Roadslip is a solution that extends the Solana Pay standard to make it more user-friendly and accessible. Inspired by systems like PromptPay in Thailand, Roadslip offers a suite of components designed to enhance the user experience. These components include a wallet, transaction cost offsetting, and a human-readable payslip.

What is the Roadslip SDK?

Roadslip SDK is designed to provide a human-readable receipt of USDC transactions on Solana. Our goal was to simplify the complex and often technical nature of blockchain transactions, making them more accessible and user-friendly.

Key Features:

  • Readable Transaction Display: Roadslip generates an easy-to-understand JPEG representation of USDC transfers from the transaction hash.

  • Reverse Lookup for .sol Domains: We implemented a reverse lookup feature that displays the .sol domain, profile picture, and a QR code associated with the transaction. This means users can see an image and a name instead of cryptic wallet addresses.

Why Roadslip SDK?

Blockchain explorers are powerful tools, but they can be intimidating and difficult to understand for everyday users. With Roadslip SDK, we bridge this gap by providing a visual and intuitive way to view transactions. This not only enhances user experience but also broadens the adoption of blockchain technology by making it more approachable.

How Does It Work?

Our SDK, available on npm, can be easily integrated into wallets and other blockchain applications. Here’s a brief overview of how it works:

  1. Transaction Hash Input: Users provide a USDC transaction hash.

  2. Data Processing: The SDK processes and filters the transaction data.

  3. JPEG Generation: A human-readable image of the transaction is generated, displaying key details in a clear format.

  4. Profile Display: If a .sol domain is associated, the profile picture and name are displayed alongside a QR code for easy sharing and verification.

Integration and Adoption

We believe that by integrating Roadslip SDK into wallets and other blockchain applications, we can significantly improve the user experience in the DeFi space. The SDK is designed to be straightforward to implement, ensuring that developers can quickly add this functionality to their projects.

Our Journey and Vision

Participating in the Solana 24h Berlin Hackathon was an incredible experience. The challenge pushed us to innovate and think outside the box. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved in such a short time and are excited about the future of Roadslip.

Our vision is to see Roadslip become a standard feature in wallets and blockchain applications, making blockchain technology more user-friendly and accessible to everyone.
